My friend Perry crowed surfed at the NMB reunion show in Philly with a polaroid camera. The pictures came out awesome.

I've taken plenty of shots while "in there" but not up top. Last AM! show I went to I held my camera up for nearly the entire show, as well as for Boris, and several Torche shows. It is REALLY hard to get shots in focus that way but my fav thing is taking audience shots. Like this:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/gato-ranch/2139798719/" title="Chris Campisi during Assholeparade - Fest 6 by Gato Ranch, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2355/2139798719_54dbe1249d.jpg" width="500" height="362" alt="Chris Campisi during Assholeparade - Fest 6" /></a>
I'm much crazier with my camera than any other photographer I personally know. And, for that I did already have to get one fixed and replace parts on another one. When I get my 2 camera system going again, I'll be tempted. I'd be REALLY stoked to have a way to hang above the audience or have someone hold me on their shoulders at some shows!
Right now I'm still waiting to find out from either the Gville Police Dept or my insurance company about my stolen gear.

That's a great shot. Sorry about your stolen gear - that really totally sucks. Is your insurance company gonna reimburse you, do you think?
Although, to clarify, I was thinking about a video camera. My "mind's eye" was picturing starting at the back of a crowd, being lifted, and traveling towards the stage on top of the crowd.

first off my goal is to have no regrets this year...
Fest 5 I stayed with a old high school friend. he hated all the music and all he cared about was getting fucked up and hitting on chicks.. now that's cool and all but music is most important. so he was annoying the shit out of me so I left late saturday night.
Fest 6 I never found a place to stay (aka too broke). so on friday night I met a guy that put me up. But Saturday I was like hung over the whole fucking day and never got a place to stay so I was like fuck it... this is where the big regret comes in.. no Small Brown Bike for me!
so this year I'm going all three days even if one days has absolutely no bands I like.. I'm going because the Fest/gainesville is the shit.

yeah I'm still pissed about the SBB...
I'll watch LaSalle and Able Baker Fox to make up for it I guess...
I saw them in a basement like back in 2002 or some shit like that.. But I had no idea who they were a friend of mine was friends with them... I wasn't too into them at the time. Then I saw them at michiganfest. whenever that was...
now that I think about it both shows were amazing.. wish I could go back in time to enjoy it more...

Are you serious? However awesome your shoes were, people who get angry by people knocking into them in mosh pits is beyond me. Surely you're expecting it?
