That was a pretty cool interview, big thanks to Tony and all the Fest staff for making this happen every year, I'm sure you sacrifice a lot.

I've got the world's smallest vinyl for sale to anyone who cries about having the responsibility of not only making the Fest awesome, but working for No Idea.
I'll even throw in a box of tissues free.
With aloe! For all you sensitive bastards.

Yeah, last year on Sunday night as my friends and I were leaving The Venue there was already a line for some thug gangsta night thing. Totally weird to see a place you just watched a grip of awesome bands play turn into a hip hop club in a matter of minutes.

I was really just making fun of the fact that you said "vinyl" when I think you meant "violin"

Haha, oh man. I thought you edited my post to make fun of me or something. I've got vinyl on the brain most of the time.

Oddly enough I remember going through it there and being searched at an Avett Brothers show. Very strange.

With the possible exception of the Sidebar, which is now deceased, the staff at The Venue are always the coolest. They remind me of city cops who, as a consequence of actually having to deal with real criminals, don't sweat the small stuff. Their attitude seems to be: no weapons, no fights, no problem.
I'll take a metal detector over the withering gaze of a douchebag hipster on a power trip any day of the week.
During Fest or not, I love seeing shows there.
