Jana, come down to Ocala sometime and try Abios.

We've got Five Star here too, but I will NEVER order from the Five Star in Ocala, the place is disgusting a filthy. Got a pizza from there one time, picked up a slice, adn a cockroach was in the box, under the pizza.

and in case anyone missed the memo, roaches down here in FL are about 10 times the size of roaches in most of the country.

I've only been to Florida once before, and the cockroach I saw in Publix carpark was fucking huge. About the size of a mouse. Bleh.

If that was somehow meat-free I'd probably eat the hell out of it. I'd at least have to try it. That's so amazing!

PS - The employes section gives me a big smile. A lot of people I love in there. :D (The have alcohol and bands play there too.)

I walked past this place so many times last year and kept thinking I had to go back to it but never did. The website has convinced me that I need to eat there. And also I now want to eat pizza. At 9:00am.

I'm definitely hiring a bike and riding over there to get some pizza and check out the junk shop they have out back.

If you have the chance, call your order ahead. You can get a slice, a salad and a drink for like $7, pretty quickly. But if you want JUST a pizza it takes a while. call your order in and then go with your pizza grubbing friends, you'll be a happy camper!

As a former Florida resident, you should come check out the multitude of exotic bugs out here in Arizona. We have some shit that makes me miss cockroaches, or palmetto bugs as we called them in S.C.

As a Chicagoan, I am an avid pizza fan, and I enjoy sampling pizza wherever i go.
I think you gainesville locals need to take some of us on a pizza tour of the city.

Gumbys is terrible! At least now it is...everytime i've had it, it's been terrible...any one who wants to argue that five star is not the best all around pizza (including hours of operation) better pull up a chair because that shit is the best and I will debate till the end of time why its the best, ask the dudes who were in randy's living room in New Brunswick, NJ. Sure there's better pizzas in the world...but can you get one for $6 at 3am wondering the streets, all of sudden this pizza dude pops up asks you if you want a pizza while you are drunk as hell? Only at five star son!

Satchel's - if we weren't heading into a recession that will pale the Great Depression in comparison I'd eat it every day

Leo's - if it ain't free, it ain't worth eating

Pizza Palace - nostalgia might be worth the price tag, but if you ain't now, you never were

Five Star - cheaper than New York, but tastes like it

get some.

I was just in Arizona recently and saw some awesome creatures but wish I had seen more insects!

But yeah, Palmetto Bugs and Cockroaches are completely different. That's like how people call vultures buzzards.

American Cockroach:

(I just put those images there knowing I made several people scream and jump out of their seats.)
