I miss The Covered Dish. I'm a big fan of that lowered area in venues, so you can still get a great view without being right down front ALL the time. Plus their general policies were a lot friendlier than any other venue I had been to at the time, and they were smoke free indoors WAY before that was anything resembling commonplace.

Yeah, I'm into that stage layout part of the time. Doesn't work for every show/venue though. Market St is the only Gville place that has a similar layout.

I remember I never wanted to go to the old Common Grounds because of all the smoke. The place was so small and the ceilings were so short that you'd start tearing up after a while. Even smokers.

the smoke is the only thing keeping me out of UC.

I've been to UC recently for a private party and even though no one in the birthday party was smoking, its hella coated with smoke in there.
