i have yet to find anyone who is down with letting me stay at their place from the 30th till the 3rd. it's kind of a bummer cause couchsurfing supposedly has worked for festers in the past. it would be me and one other person blah blah i'll msg anyone who posts their usernames. just to prove i'm not a creep, my username is asadandtracy and profile url is http://www.couchsurfing.com/profile.html?id=5FGIYRK

I remember there was one or two people on the couch surfing website that let people crash with them for The Fest but not sure for this year
my place is pretty much all overbooked for this year =/

I'm pretty maxed out at my house too.
If you have no luck, check back with me in a few weeks.

I have to finalize some things yet with other people, but if all else fails I'll have a hotel room you can crash at if need be. Room will probably be split with 4-6 or something total, so some may need to pass out on the floor, but it'd only be like $30 a night probably if we all split it. I know that defeats the purpose of finding a place to crash for free, but you take what you can get sometimes I guess. I'd sleep in the rental car if it had a sink and a shower

yeah. i'm planning on flying from mci to gnv on the 30th and getting back on the 3rd. i get my paycheck on friday so that's when i'm booking said flight. it doesn't necessarily save moneys but if you'd like to pool flights (make cabs to and from hotel/house cheaper) that's cool. and likewise splitting a hotel room three ways (i'm meeting a friend from las vegas at gnv) would be less of a financial burden.

that would be rad. i wouldn't mind sleeping on a hotel floor, chair, wherever.

btw are there any 24 hour restaurants/diners in gville i should know about? if worse comes to worse and i'm like squatting somewhere, i always take advantage of 4 am "sink showers" when i get the chance.

I'm also from Topeka, KS is the reason I am asking. I am flying also out of MCI but plan on either staying at the THUNDER SIEGE or staying at Holiday inn. I am just not able to foot that holiday inn bill solo.

i'll check with my friend to see if she'd be down with a hotel. i've found a place to stay (well, it's still up in the air a bit) that's 16 blocks from said holiday inn. but yeah 160 a night divided by three ain't so bad. i'll get back to you on that.
