My old band "boxingwater" was on tour, it was a DIY tour, a lot of fun, but no big turnouts or anything which is fine, whatever. We booked a show in Myrtle Beach at this record store on our way down to FL. about 3 days into tour we get an email from the guy at the store saying that River City High asked to jump on the show and he let them. We were kinda stoked, none of us were very big fans of their music, but we figured at least they'd draw some kids. We pull up to the show, and are met by Mark from RCH. He says, "oh you must be boxingwater, look, i don't think you guys are going to be playing, there wasn't as many kids as we hoped and if you guys play the show then the they're not going to be able to cover our guarentee". What? are you fucking kidding me. So they told us we couldn't play the show that was booked for us to play, because if we played, the owner would pay us, and not be able to meet their guarentee. True fucking story, but they were like, "you guys can totally come and hang out with us at the titty bar tonight" fuck that band That band sucks camel weenie! what a shitty thing to do! Also you were in Boxingwater? I use to see you guys in Glouscter and other north shore venues, Salem Elks i believe, are you in Landmines now?? yup, sure am. That's awesome, we never meet any of them old north shore punks anymore.
My names Andy, i'm good friend with Jay Maas and the kids that were in Kobe and all those bands. I'm coming down to the Fest regardless if my bands plays or not, we should definetly hang Mass style, whatever the hell i mean bye that haha

I back Tony Landmine's RCH hatred 110%. My Mark-is-a-douche story: Mark tried to tell me that my band was playing too long (on a show I helped set up) when we opened for them way back when. We'd been playing for maybe 25 minutes and were about to go in to our last song when he knocked on the window and pointed to his watch while shooting us a pissed off look. Just for that, we played a few extra songs and dedicated them to him. When I was loading out he got in my face and it got ugly...the best part was that all of the kids who were there to see RCH saw how he acted, and over half of them left before they played because they thought he was such a dickbag.
Plus, the band was so fucking cheesey. So glad Jay and Bob quit...they were/are nice guys.

NOFX is touring the east coast with D4 and the flatliners in late October.....I call NOFX performing under a different name and playing "The Decline" in its entirety. 'if that did that and then played all of Punk in Drublic/ribbed it would be fucking amazing

Haha, you know I did think of you (and my other ALL loving friends) when I posted this. Still hoping it happens but everyone that I know that would know for sure is being pretty tight lipped about it.

Just think, there will be 8 different headlining bands playing at the same time each night at 8 different venues. "Headlining" being at different degrees appropriate to the venue. So I'm still hoping for more big secret headliners.
