I got Fest anxiety last night and panicked and bought my flight; it feels so good to have it confirmed.
So I'm flying into Orlando on the Wednesday. Should I just head up to Gainesville that afternoon, or head out to Tampa for the 'pre-fest' I keep hearing about? What's the deal?

What's the deal? last year there was pre-fest shows wednesday and thursday. bands like off with their heads, ringers, pretty boy thorson, tiltwheel, monikers, new bruises, vena cava, tim version, dukes of hillsborough, o pioneers!!!, and a bunch others played. thursday there was like 16 bands, tons of people, lots of booze, and modest attempts at lucha libre. um....so yeah do not miss tampa pre-fest. |

definitely pre-fest. it's the absolute best way to start the weekend.

I'm leaving earlier this year just to make pre-fest. I need to squeeze as much Fest out as I can to last me till Fest 8.

there are two pre Fest shows happening at transitions. us, where the land meets the sea, and the cold beat are playing the wed one.

Matt at Transitions has also kindly said that us (The Cost Of Living) can play on the Wednesday too. Stoked!

I'm excited for pre-fest. I arrived thurs/fri at 3am last year so yeah. This time, flying in on Wednesday.

only decided to come to Fest about 2 week before it last year so missed pre Fest, but this year im flying out to Tampa on the Tuesday or Wednesday so I can party hard for longer

WEDNESDAY Transitions @ Skatepark Of Tampa Pre-FEST 7PM-1AM bands: o'pioneers bridge and tunnel menzingers the riot before landmines algernon caldwallader THURSDAY The Basement House afternoon BBQ show 1PM-5PM bands: shang-a-lang jonesin' the anchor god equals genocide too many daves Transitions @ Skatepark Of Tampa Pre-FEST 6PM-1AM bands: off with their heads pretty boy thorson tiltwheel dan padilla vena cava drunken boat lemuria rager the serious geniuses Gordon Gano's Army the measure (sa)

now the debate begins
drive back to gainesville after the wednesday show or pass out somewhere in tampa and stay for the BBQ show then come back for the gainesville pre-shows |
