My body won't permit me to do this. I'm usually miserable even mid-Summer no matter how hot out it is. Just too cold for me and not enough direct sunlight.

Wasn't too terribly bad on Sunday. This is purely opinion, but I think when its a tad cooler out, you notice the contrast of the air temp and the water temp less. 73 degree water and 85 degree heat is better than 73 and 95.
I'm not sciencey, but it sounds good in my head.

La Chua Trail all the way! We were there in March and it was amazing. We're just simple folks from the north who are intrigued by dozens of alligators in their natural habitat though.

is there a place where i can just rent a canoe and take it out in some swamp on my own to try to see gators?
or is that extremely dangerous and a very stupid thing to do?
in CT we really dont have any animals that are harmful so im not used to this

bad idea
there are places you can go though and easily see the gators without having to get in the water with them

You can rent canoes at Juniper run, located at Juniper Springs Park. I fuckin' loved tha tplace when I was kid, haven' tbeen in many years though.
Big swimming area, natural bottom with weeds and fish and stuff, and big crack in the ground gushing out cold cold water. But there's a little stone ledge running around it, I gues to prevent erosion. One end has a high wall to jump off of.
Friendly squirrels, awesome nature trails. And then there's a little snaking creek through the woods with smaller weird looking, swimmable springs along the way. The canoe run is 7 miles.
