hey guys, this is whats going on.
i've been living im my car on a crazy road trip since may, i've gone from ohio to maine to new jersey (where i am now) and many places in between. gainesville is my last stop before heading back to cincinnati basically my question is for gainesville natives. i'm coming in earlier in the week of the Fest and needed help finding places to crash while i'm in town. I'M NOT ASKING ANYONE TO TAKE ME IN! i've been sleeping in the woods and the ground for 4 months. i just dont know where i can lay out my bag and crash without getting arrested for vagrancy or whatever. i've no money for a hotel and i wouldn't pay for one if i had it. anything works, if you could show me some places around town when i get there or give me addresses i can mapquest, it doesnt matter. free camping sites, little league baseball dugouts work well. hopefully something with a little cover. also abandoned buildings, squats, anything you could think of is great (if its close to the Fest). i know TBIAPB stayed in an abandoned building last year. so if you have any ideas please email me. plastikkat@gmail.com (and invite me to the parties & secret shows!) |

not from gainesville...but i'm in the same boat. we shall overcome! or sleep in the streets! either way, it'll be a blast.

There are 2 shelters, that I know of, here.

thanks anyways but I don't do shelters.
1) they're dangerous 2) it's the quickest way to get all your shit stolen 3) I don't like being preached at with some mind-warping jesus propaganda. I'd rather sleep in a park or the streets. I bet once I get talking to people though I can find a punk house.

same way all homeless people do. public libraries or friends houses. depending where you are.
