Just thought i'd throw this one out to the Gainesville natives out there.
What do you reckon is the best/quickest/cheapest way to get from Orlando airport to Gainesville at around 8 in the evening?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
Edit* Apologies moderators, I think I might have put this in the wrong category. It does say 'bus/taxi' tho which i'm sure this involves.
Anyway it's your call, i'm sure you'll move it if you feel the need.

or split a rental with people flying in the same night as you.
OR talk me and Mark into seeing a show in Orlando the night you fly in.

what day are you coming in at 8 in the evening
cheapest way is to find someone else coming from Orlando and hitch a ride, i know a good amount of people that are coming up from there.

Or you can find people passing through, like myself. I feel I owe a foreigner a ride since the tentative plans I had with an Australian to do the same fell through last year.

Well if it's on the 28th in the evening that would be awesome (and very lucky on my part).
Is it?

No more random than any of the other 6 days I'd have thought..
I've only got 7 days off work and given that I want a couple of days in G.Ville either side of the Fest that was the logical option.
No one wants to board a plane the day after Fest, or risk delays messing up the start of it.

Hijack?
I'm flying in on the 30th to Orlando and then flying out again on the 3rd, but I've just discovered that hiring a car for 4 days looks to be under £70.
Soooo if anyone fits with those dates (this will probably be people from the UK who are going to other places in the states like me) then give me a shout and I'll definitely hire a car and we can split costs
Minor irritation to some is probably that I have to be back at Orlando airport at 9am on the Monday so have to leave Gainesville pretty early after a night of partying!

jesus christ, it can't be that much to rent a car for one day to get up to gville, then back down to orlando.
