Last year I went with one friend. We slept in the truck in the walmart parking lot. This year we've got 4-5 people and are planning the same thing. Is there a better place than the walmart parking lot? We've heard that walmart lets people sleep in their parking lot if they have campers, but we definately don't have a camper. We'll have a matress in the back, though...so who knows?

Suggestions?

I'm not sure which Walmart you're refering to, but the Walmart off of Archer RD is HUGE. I'm sure no one would bother you, and there are plenty of other shops in that area that close early(as opposed to being open 24 hours a day like Walmart).

yeah true, walmarts all over the country are cool about that, i guess its the only thing they're really good for... although if you consider it this way, they're taking away local hotel business also.. whats next walmart?

anyway our friends The Static Transistor slept in walmarts, their singer even slept on the roof of the van one night (the picture is on their myspace, really funny) and they didnt get bothered. you should be good.
