well maybe not underdog, but for lack a better, more appropriate word, what little known band(s) should people take a chance on?

I don't know if they are considered little known, but I'm most excited about Ultra Dolphins playing. About the best shit since The Exploder. Also Swing Ding Amigos and Shark Pants.

thanks. the cold ones and whiskey sunday are just a couple i'd like to check out. thought it'd be good to have an open-ended question like this for people to suggest bands some would pass over while at the Fest. Monikers are good to glad to see them tonight. are you going to the Emerald tonight?

How about we pin down some guidelines. I love the idea, but then I'm not sure who everyone else knows about....that's a really open ended one. There are established bands and new bands and a hell of a lot in between.
so, understanding that many might not be "underdogs" per say, here are some of my suggestions (excluding the obvious ones everyone wants to see):
worn in red
monikers
the cold ones
whiskey sunday
glass& ashes
Haram
Cinemechanica
Banner Pilot
I'm sure I'll have more...this is fun.

yeah it is really open-ended and that's what made it hard to sorta define the post entry. Monikers i'd really like to see (aside from finally seeing them tonight), whiskey sunday and the cold ones are two i just heard about that i'd like to see. a lot of it has to do with where the bands play and where you're from. it's true i could say bands like New Bruises, Tim Version, Billy Reese Peters, etc. and somewhere else in the states or US might not know them because they're all from Florida. however it's also a good way for someone from somewhere else to recommend a band or two from where they're from that someone elsewhere might never have heard of. Also, Banner Pilot is someone else i'm definitely gonna check out. Ninja Gun and O Pioneers!!! are two i'd recommend.

Steady State's playing, but then again you said underdog not wonderdog. Maybe you should change the thread name, cause hotdogs are tight.

Yeah, we're still around, though we are more of a long distance thing since Ivy is in Maryland.

I'm all about seeing Noah's Apathy again. They played Vito's (in Valdosta) and floored me.
