yeah I saw that a month or so ago, awesome movie
It really is isn't it!
Those records od old school arcade are just unreal, dedication on a grand scale. I've had a Ms PacMan arcade for like 2 years and I'm still crap at it. Fells amazing when you're playing on a prorer arcade tho, you just can't emulate that shit.
And the cutscenes are amazing, they piss all over Final Fantasy!

I saw the movie with a major gamer and he didn't understand why the audience was laughing so much. Hehehehe.

Ha!
Yeah, where I'm sure the pro's gain kudos for their tenacity to master a 20odd year old arcade game from gamers, the general public tend to find it rather amusing and slightly less monumental.
Everytime I go to my Mums I regail the family with yarns aplenty, the time I finished Star Wars arcade on one credit, the time I got 100% on troublemaker on expert on Guitar Hero, the time I finished StreetFighter 2 Turbo on level 10 just to see that crap poster at the end..........
But do they care?
....I'll get my coat.

Come on, it definitely had its hilarious moments. The quirky personalities were framed just right.

Yeah I was only joshing.
It is all about the personalities. I really love the cover/poster showing the back of the guy on the DK cab with his hand in the air, it really reminds me of a Chris Ware style comic strip, hell he's almost a middle age Jimmy Corrigan.
It has a slightly depressing quality which I like.
I think i'm gonna re-watch it this weekend after all this talk, I might even beat my Ms PacMan high score! What a birthday weekend that'd be.
*sigh*

How annoying is it when you've forgotten to sign in!

I remember when I was younger my mom stopped giving me money to play arcade games because she knew we would be there forever even if she only gave me $1

I still get that.
My mates hate it when we pop into a takeaway after pub and there's an arcade.
Nothing like 3 plays for a quid to take away the cardboard taste of cold chips.
