So anyone in the market to make a few bucks by offering a couch to a weary traveller from the UK?
Prob be in G.ville from wed29thOct to wed5thNov.
I haven't been to Gainesville since Discount's last show way back when, jesus I think it was like 2000!
Anyway dudes or dudesses. Drop me a line if you're up for it.
I'm really quite a nice a guy, no really!
Take it easy.

I think we should turn this thread into the official "place to crash if you're too drunk/lazy to make it back to where ever you're staying" thread. Just to appease Jana's OCD sensibilities. And I'm recycling. You owe me one environment!
D$'s selflessly got a tent city going up in their yard. Setting an example.
So start posting your own couch/floor/yard/bathtub/stable offerings here.
Pony up chumps!

I pm'd you, but it doesn't seem to be going through. Guess you're a bad seed.

Yeah, we moved into a new house. We got a pretty big yard because the house next to us is just used for storage and we only have two other neighbors that as far as we know are awesome. Also a cool porch cat we named chip that hangs out.
Anyway if you want to sleep in our yard in a tent that's fine, there's a couch on the porch too. I don't know how many people are going to take me up on this but yeah you can most likely use my shower too just as long as people are respectful and whatever.
The address is ACTUALLY 418 4th Pl, Gville, 32601 but google maps always suggests 418 4th ave or something which is next block south but only like 100 ft away if to want to check out the area (which is right downtown between 1982 and atlantic/cg's all that, total stumble distance now!).

Well cheers for taking the time to check this topic out peeps.
I'm now all sorted out thanks to a generous newfound friend, but yeah you should all use this thread to sort out any other couch spaces/requests/shanty town erections or any other vagabond related Gainesville goodness.

I'm seriously considering taking you up on this. I'd rather do that than pay for a motel room, I've just gotta see how my traveling companions feel. But as far as showering goes, I don't think that'll be necessary. I'll find a pool to jump in sometime over the weekend, that'll be fine.

Well I mean people can but if there's like 9 million people at my place like there was at our house show last year it'll just be hard having bunch of people in and out. I'm mainly concerned with shit being broken...dirtiness can be cleaned. But the house show bunch of little things got broke it kinda sucked but was worth it i guess. But yeah, our bathroom is weird and actually has a door to the outside...and locks from in the kitchen...i could actually lock the door in the kitchen and unlock the outside door and let everyone at it haha. I guess i'm making this sound like im more worried than i am. i think it'd be awesome to have bunch of people over, and with the money you save on hotels we can all just pitch in a little, get a keg and bunch of food, bring over cam's big ass grill and party down before Fest and during.
oh and we do plan on having a show, it's just not going to be at the house. but those people will probably have a ride piling into our van if they stay.

I'd like to be able to pass out in someone's front yard and not have to worry about it being problem, and this sounds like it could fulfill my dream.
Your bathroom sounds pretty weird though - I've never walked into a house through a bathroom.

I actually wish my bathroom was like that. After getting filthy in the yard why track it through your clean house on the way to the shower.

I guess, but I like bathrooms to be isolated from the world, so no one can see me poopin'. I'd just be paranoid (especially after consuming certain chemicals that help paranoia run rampant) that someone was gonna walk in from outside or something.
