I know plenty of Festers that don't get drunk but do get naked! Or rather, you don't have to get drunk to get naked.

hmm... being that i drink on a fairly regular basis, sober at Fest is a 0% chance. in reading through this thread, i WISH i could get smooth off a few beers, but my fat ass requires either insanely strong brews or hard liquor.
i am toying with the idea of bringing down a cooler full of 40s (St. Ides, for the most part) depending on what type of ride i get. god, this year's Fest is going to be the shit.

Im assuming our inhibitions that weaken when we're drinking?

right, but it doesn't bother other people? that they're too weak to be who they want to be without help?

I'm a theme party pooper.
I dressed in 80's cloths to a "white trash" party.

my band mates have been ribbing me about not drinking at the Fest, i'm sure one weekend of excess won't be that bad for me? pugs probably doesn't need booze for him to get naked, i've been known to get my balls out after a few drinks

It's not just that inhibitions are removed when you drink . . . that's a silly way of thinking about it. To imply that people who drink are just doing so because they can't be themselves without it, or they're afraid in some way . . . that's naive.
The brain is a weird, wiggy thing . . . sometimes it's fun to cross some wires and see what happens. I'm also a proponent of generally anything else that'll twist some shit around. I like to see how I come out on the other end.
Also, I'm reminded of the quote that begins Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas . . .
"He who makes a beast of himself removes the pain of being a man."

If you are a fan of Hunter S. Thompson (who isn't?) then you HAVE to go see Gonzo: The Life and Work of Hunter S. Thompson. I saw it in santa fe, NM (it's only in select select theaters and it was fucking awesome. I actually just downloaded the other one that's out on dvd already called Buy The Ticket Take The Ride.
That's kinda like drinking. It's like a ticket for a ride that's only going to last a little while....and possibly another ride the next day that might suck. haha
