Scenario:
Sunday last year, at the Atlantic. Sometime in between Static Radio and Cloak/Dagger's sets.
I was trying to hock my compilation CD that I put out for my radio show and have been using the fact that it has the only officially released/exclusive OnGuard song (Jason Shevchuk ex Kid Dynamite LaGrecia now current None More Black etc). I wrote a sign, taped it on my back and walked around with it for about a half hour, hoping it'd get people's attention.
A kid comes up to me, taps me on the shoulder and asks...
"So like, you're down with None More Black and shit?"
Me: *confused* Uh, yeah...
Kid: Awesome! *walks away*
I have absolutely NO clue what he meant by that but it was quite funny.
Another quite by my friend Brian, Saturday afternoon on the porch outside Common Grounds, and standing near Brenden Kelly (of Lawrence Arms fame), who was drinking a Sparks. We happened to overhear him telling someone that it was surprisingly the first alcoholic beverage he'd consumed that day.
Brian's response to this, he turned to me and said:
"Wow, so I've started drinking today before Brenden Kelly. That's impressive".
"I LOVE YOU! I LOVE Fest!" - Casey from Fake Problems running past the Venue on Sunday night after Seaweed played. He did this to me and every person he ran past down the street. I mentioned it to him when I saw FP in May, and not surprisingly, he has absolutely no recollection of this.

What the fuck is a corn nugget? I don't know if there's something wrong with me or not, but that name makes me immediately think of poop.

yeah, it doesn't sound appetizing in the least, but if i remember correctly, it's like fried cream of corn, it really does taste way better than it sounds, but then again, pretty much anything i've eaten at the Top has been really good.

they sell corn nuggies at Sonny's BBQ too, and I know, there's way better BBQ that Sonny's probably, but their damn delicious.

oh man! i had some killer sweet potato fries ages ago at a place called the Pontiac Tavern. They've since closed up shop, but not because I didn't buy all the sweet potato fries.
I think the chef there cooks elsewhere now. Some place called Gotham something. Has anyone heard of it?
basically, Hawkgirl is right, sweet potato fries take the prize! hehe

Haven't been to Gotham, but its where Voodoo Lounge used to be on Main Street.
Pontiac is missed, but only for drinks during the farmer's market.

word to the farmers market. God I enjoyed that. I haven't been in a loooong time -- work schedule and all. I'm going to have to try the Gotham place some time.
Thanks!

Friend: "So, you'll DJ our wedding, right?"
Me: "You're getting fucking married?!?"
Me: "What time is it?"
Friend: "Time for more whiskey."
Me: "Dude, where are you going?"
Friend: "I have to go find your pass!"
Me: "I thought you said you didn't know where the van is."
Friend: "What van?"
