4 pages and you people still haven't mentioned the best food in Gainesville
as someone who enjoys quality Mexican food I am happy to say that Gainesville is a blessed town due to 2 amazing locations.

El Indio - i've heard the tempeh burrito is really good, but i always the get the carne asada burrito, and maybe even some chicken taquitos. it's amazingly delicious and at very cheap prices to. it's also right across the street from krispy kreme so if that hot fresh now sign lights up, all is right in the world.
there are 2 locations for it, 1 is about a block up the road from the Fest Hotel, the other one is pretty far away about 10-15 min driving up 34th street but it's El Indio plus they serve amazing burgers, hot dogs, milk shakes and other stuff like that. it's worth the trip if you can't decide wither you want a great burrito or a great burger, so you get both!

La Tienda - the fact that I didn't find out about this place until a couple months ago still makes me cry a little on the inside, it is the most authentic Mexican you will find (unless of course you go to Mexico) it's pretty much a mexican market in the back and they decided to take all the ingredients they sell and make amazing food with it too. even the soda's are imported from Mexico so the Coke and Pepsi has sugar instead of corn syrup in it. I usually always get the Chorizo burrito, its cheap, huge, and insanely delicious. everything on the menu is good. I recommend going on days when there is a good soccer game on. there is also a good chance when you go that even if it seems packed, the only people who can speak english are the 1-2 people at the counter so i recommend bringing someone who knows spanish.

as a runner up: Taco Bell on 13th street, i've never been to a taco bell where they take pride in the food they give you, best mexi-melt you will ever get.

oh and I haven't been there in awhile but I used to really like Steamers, it wouldn't be a far walk from The Fest hotel but its somewhat hidden and only open during the afternoon. get the house fried rice, put a ton of their sauce on it, and you got a cheap meal for 2

Target on Archer Road - no seriously, if you want a really cheap hot dog and ice cream, go here. good ice cream and its under $2 for a cone with 2 huge scoops.

Hogan's Subs - pretty far away from all the Fest stuff (but somewhat close to my apartment so if you need a place to crash and are craving a sub, your set!) it's cash only and it takes some time to get your sub but you get a ridiculous amount of food for the price. also got a bar in the back with some interesting people.

Publix (deli area) - never been to publix before? you should go at least once to get their sub, i recommend the chicken tender, kinda pricey but worth it.

Satchel's Pizza - it's far but it's also the best pizza in Gainesville. go around lunch time and get the special (salad and a slice of pizza) i'm not a big salad person but theirs is amazing, and the pizza is incredible. Five Star is definitely the best "i'm drunk at 3am and need food" pizza but if you got time (and a ride) and your looking for quality, go to Satchel's.

Gyro's Plus - if you've been to the Fest I'm sure you've been here, it's close to the venues and it's really good.

Hot Dog/Sausage Vender's on University Ave. - the one near the strip club is the best tasting and also the funniest guy.

I can't think of their names now but there is a pizza place and a little cuban food place above the Pita Pit on University Ave. if you find yourself in that area they aren't bad, nothing amazing but you won't be let down.

My Roommate's girlfriend's brownies - they are good, but he hit her with an umbrella last night and threw a wheel chair at her and broke her front door, so I don't think I will be getting them anytime soon
:(

yeah, if anyone here happens to live in Courtyards I apologize for your pool chairs and a good amount of your foliage being thrown in the deep end, I'm not even sure how he got in that area.

trick must've done something pretty retarded to warrant getting whacked with an umbrella.

Chopstix is so good that I stop in Gville to eat there every single time I am on I-75. Everything there is perfect and I think I have an unhealthy obsession with it.
