I'd check out the job section in The Alligator, I've found one or two through there, you can see it online too although I'm not sure how updated it is - http://www.alligator.org/classifieds/help_wanted/

i love freelance work, makes life more interesting when your in somewhat of a different area or doing a different thing every job. only downfall is weekends like this where I am missing the Tiltwheel show cause of work (I'm at some hotel in the Disney area doing the Domino Championships for ESPN Deportes)

if all else fails try bowling alleys, my fall back/desperate for money job is as a Bowling Alley Mechanic but i've learned that most are always hiring for other jobs in the place.

$290 a month is incredible. Just wait 'til someone from central London sees that, they'll have an embolism.

That's quite unbelievable! My council tax is more than that!

That makes me feel sick. We've got a 3 Bedroom flat above a Post Office and Convenience Store on the outskirts of town. It's about £1000/$2000 a month.

Everyone's gonna want to kill me for this but bring back a modified poll tax! It was a fairer system.

How is the current system fair? I have an old lady (to be fair I wouldn't bat an eyelid if she tripped and suffocated on here own vomit on the way down) that lives next door to me and she is paying the same tax as the 6 people next to her. Why should one pay the same as six?

I didn't say the current system is fair, I said roll on local income tax!

Poll tax? maybe that doesn't mean the same thing over there as here, but in the US, poll taxes are expressly forbidden by the constitution, which is the highest ranking law in the land.

i think the constitution might not mean very much anymore, thanks to the Current Occupant.

That would suit me just fine but again I'm not entirely sure that's fair either. Why should someone like me who works to earn just enough to get by be paying the same as someone who chooses to work very hard for as long as possible because he/she wants to enjoy a luxury lifestyle? If I wanted to earn more than I do then I could if I worked harder/longer but I'd be pretty pissed off if I got penalised for my effort by paying more for the bin man to take away my empty cider cans at the end of the week!

That's the daftest argument I've ever heard, Timmy. How on earth does earning more £££ = working harder? Does an investment banker earning £100K work harder than a nurse earning £20K? Of course he doesn't. And even if he ends up paying 3 times (or whatever) as much as the nurse in tax he's still going to take home an absolute fortune more. I thought arguments against progressive income taxation went out with Thatcher!
