Anybody interested (and serious) about volunteering to FILM or RECORD AUDIO at Fest 5, drop me a line and let me know your area of expertise (video, audio, stage hand, whatever) and any equipment you might be able to bring (dv/hdv cams, etc.)...info (at) nationalunderground.com

We are working with NO IDEA to document as much as possible: bands, parties, people on the streets, interviews, etc...

This year is going to be insane...Tony's keeping a lot of it under wraps (as he should), but he's up to 160 bands and something like 8 venues so far.
Plus, there's all the normal around town house parties, after parties, bbq (futurehouse, you'd better do it again!), etc. This year, we're going to try to capture as much as possible of the entire Fest experience.

So, we need all the help we can get. We can probably find you a place to sleep, get you a wrist band and if we get enough folks involved, we can probably take shifts to catch other shows. Anyhow, if you're into the A/V side of things, it's not paid or an internship, but I know I will personally write you a letter of recommendation if you do a kickass job.
Plus, you'll get your name on the DVD when it comes out.

we're getting pretty close to covering everything, so if you'd like to help out, this is your last chance.
It doesn't matter if you have experience or not, if you can stay sober enough to sit on stage and pick up a mic now and then, we can use your help. We need a couple more video shooters (don't need a camera...we're covered), stage hands and runners.
The schedule is coming out soon, so we'll have more info for the volunteers we've already roped, and we'll be able to start setting up our a/v schedule around that.
The Fest 3 DVD is sweet...wouldn't the Fest V DVD be even cooler with your name on it?

I've got one of those inflatable sumo suits that I used to dress up as Carney Wilson one year, so I'm down.

sweet....maybe just some really tall mf's to shoot over the kids...we'll see what we've got to work with when the time gets closer. We've had a lot of people who have signed up, but WE CAN STILL USE MORE HELP!

Looks like in total we're recording over 100 bands in three days...and we have quite a few volunteers, but we can use more.

anybody with DV cameras or better, let me know. We need to try to cover everything.

The offer still stands. We can find you a place to crash and get you in. You don't need experience, and you won't have to work the whole time. Just let us know the shows you wouldn't mind working, and the ones you'll need to be in the pit. We're putting together the schedule right now, so hurry up!
