Chicago. Some of my buddies were talking about volunteering this year, too.

I honestly can't remember exactly how far in advance the meetings were, but I'm guessing a matter of weeks at least.
It does suck for out-of-town-ers, sorry Danny.

That's right, you keep saying something about housing ten of your 'close personal friends' with you in one room at the Holiday Inn . . . but hey, I'm an accepting person, although the name Danny Dickhead is quite off-putting.

Last year I worked at the Atlantic. This year I'm considering signing up for the Venue because of how big that place is. It fascinates me. Where did you guys film?
we were always at The Venue, I think Static Radio and Cloak/Dagger were the only band I was able to film at The Atlantic last year.
if you volunteer at the The Venue then we'll definitely end up seeing you/hanging out

That was an isolated incident . . . well, I have been known to break bottles while intoxicated, but who doesn't? And the name's just that - a dumb punk rock name that I refuse to stop using. It's like an Internet in-joke with myself.
But regardless, if anyone wants to get together at some point during Fest and harass others for not liking Black Flag enough, I'm totally down. I'll be the guy with the cover of "Nervous Breakdown" inked on his arm.
As far as the horde goes . . . well, we're filthy drunks who smoke way too much weed, nothing too out of the ordinary, but where one of us goes, the rest soon follow.

If that's what we end up doing. I'm loving this idea of not doing the big shows and just shooting house parties. That way we get a bunch of types of bands...not just the big label showcases (and for the record, the people at Fat have been saints). But, we did get into this to turn people on to bands they would normally never hear about. So, doing house shows with a handful of them and perhaps a secret headliner would be perfect.

I was teasing about the name, it doesn't scare me. And your horde sounds a bit like mine. We're from all around the country, but we congregate at the Fest each year, it's like our giant friendship reunion. It's glorious.

no where yet, buddypal. The volunteer information hasn't been posted. Keep your eyes on the threads though. I'll for sure be talking about it as the time gets nearer.
