Wow Jana, so much for us having beers.

Ah-haha, i figured I'd catch hell for that.

It's not like that was the only time i saw Lucero. I've seen them several times.

But that night they just couldn't hold a candle to Drag. It just seemed fake to me in comparison.

Sorry, I'm brutally honest like that and if we all had the same exact opinions and taste in music... what fun would that be? No much.

Well, you're in luck. The band started to breakup right after their show at Fest 5, no lie. But they did sort of a trial run reunion back in January and have been doing shows again ever since. They told me months ago that they are playing the Fest. So you may luck out and see them. Let's hope it really happens. If it does, that's where you'll find me. If it doesn't I'll honestly cry. But then again, I think I'm flying out to Colorado again in September to see them. I get Drag withdrawls.

I searched Red 40 on MS and got this shitty band that was oddly enough, from Nashville. I got so confused haha. Found the real one though, good stuff.

Well damn, that's saying a lot. Not even sure I can say that as much as I love them. Though they aren't truly just a country band either.

I like both bands, but they're no Uncle Tupelo.

OK, back to HWM semi-related gossip:

I was just told by someone on the Revival Tour that Gville is confirmed for October 1st. So add it to your calendars!

The Revival Tour, tour dates were posted today:

http://www.punknews.org/article/29553

And seeing as how it specifically says that Chuck Ragan, Ben Nichols, Tim Barry, and Tom Gabel have dates in CA oct 31st-Nov 2nd: That would mean that HWM, Lucero, Avail, and Against Me! are out of the Fest this year.

More info:

SideOneDummy Records has announced the dates for the upcoming Revival Tour, featuring Chuck Ragan of Hot Water Music, Tim Barry of Avail and Ben Nichols of Lucero. The tour will feature the three frontmen playing solo sets and collaborating on each other's material. A number of notable punk frontmen will join the trio on select dates, with appearances planned by Tom Gabel of Against Me!, Chris Wollard of Hot Water Music / The Draft, Kevin Seconds of 7Seconds, John Snodgrass of Drag The River, Jesse Malin of D Generation and Chris McCaughan of the Lawrence Arms. Click below for the dates. A number of dates will also feature Austin Lucas.

I'll probably hit that Jacskonville show, and for sure the Gainesville one.

I'm jealous that NJ, NY, and DC also get Frank Turner.

I of course wish I could be at the 3 Jon Snodgrass ones in Colorado.
