OOoooOOoooh Kenny and SaRah! Leopard Gecko. Fabulous!
Though we're quasi-local, I'll be missing my 'kids' when I'm festing:
The little one in the front is the Madre's dog. My girls are in the back, Blondie and Lucy (comic strip leading ladies).
And my cat:
Ollie.
... And my ferret, Charley McCarthy:

A ferret! Incredible. Aren't they said to be somewhat ill-natured fellows?

Quite the opposite. They're some of the friendliest critters I've ever encountered. They don't live as long as I'd like however.

Oh, awesome, I wonder where I got that idea from. Sorry ferrets!
How long do they live for?

I just read it can be between 8 and 10 years. But mine didn't live that long, and neither did my Grandmother's. So I don't know, maybe it was just a fluke.

Ferrets are awesome! Some do bite but for the most part they are very playful. My brother and I had one, Betty, for about 6 years til she got a little too old

Do ferrets just run about the house like cats? I don't think I know anyone that keeps one as a pet.

They need a cage. Some people let them run free most of the time. I don't suggest it since they are mischievous creatures that like to steal and hide things. Not to mention they don't crap in boxes so good. Nothing like finding a pile of ferret turd in your cubberd.

Yeah she started to lose some of her fur towards the end.
and you definitely need a cage for ferrets so they can poop and sleep in em.

my roommates found some place in south florida that said they could get us a south african penguin for $1000. sadly enough when we called the place the phone line was disconnected.
so now we are just waiting on a Flemish giant breeder to call us back, we're trying to find a blue one but don't think we will be to picky

When I was in Gville I almost bought a wolf out of the classifieds. There was another woman who was selling these lynx type cats too.

the flea market in Jacksonville has a guy who sells all sorts of crazy animals. It's a horrible disgusting looking little semi-permanent store front, I woul dnever buy anything there, but if you want an armadillo, that's an easy place to get one. Or some freaky african lizards, or scary looking birds with tentacles.

Birds with tentacles? this intrigues me.
