So, last night already I had a dream that I had missed the Fest. Usually I only get these like a few days before Fest that like I overslept through Fest somehow, or my car brokedown going there, or something happens that I missed Fest, but then you wake up and you can breathe the sigh of relief. I already had my first one last night, that I had to have surgery before Fest, and I had to miss it, and everyone came back and was telling me how great it was and how i missed out on everything. Anyone else get these horrible nightmares?

Every year I have those AT Fest.
I always end up waking up freaked out and starts my day off in a shitty way. But, by the time I make it downtown, and start seeing familiar faces, that goes away fast.

I keep thinking that one of my elderly relatives will die the week before i'm supposed to fly, and the funeral will clash with my flights or something. I would like to think my grandparents would want me to go to the Fest anyway, but my parents would be dicks about it for sure. i suppose im a grown up who seems his folks about once every 3-4 months anyway, so i could just get ex-communicated and not really feel it on a day-to-day basis.. but it would still be bad vibes.
hang in there nan, i want to party.

Not so much Fest nightmares, but I tend to have dreams after the Fest that I am still there doing something or other, sometimes it's good and sometimes its bad, like I'm missing awesome bands or something.
Then I wake up and I realize that I'm at home in New Jersey, I have FestAIDS, and the Fest ended a week ago. And even if it was a dodgy dream it's still a bummer to think you were still Festing and then find out otherwise.
This also happens to me when I first get home from a lengthy tour.

I live out of my backpack and brush my teeth in the kitchen sink for weeks, once I'm home from tour. Got to ease yourself into real life gently

When I get back from Fest when I try to go at sleep at night for about a week. I just see everyone walking by and festing and yelling, and then I can't fall asleep because I jump up and think im still at Fest. It's such a bummer when you realize you're just in your room.

When I realized I had to miss Fest 5 due to money issues I was really bummed. Then I had this dream three days before Fest that Greyhound called me and offered me a free round trip and hotel room to anywhere I wanted at any time. I was so sad when I woke up.

I had a dream 2 or 3 nights ago that I slept through the Fest. It was only a 1 day thing in my dream and when I woke up all the bands had played already bar 1, and I didn't even make it in time to see that 1 band. I was upset. What a shit dream.

Just reading this thread has given me a horrible feeling inside...like a mild version of that feeling you get the first time you wake up back home after Fest and the reality kicks in that the thing you've spent the last twelve months looking forward to is already over. Just thinking about that has made me feel quite fed up. I think I'll have to try and make the most of the next four months of excitement!

I'm too stoked, and now the anticipation and anxiety has already began that i'm having the pre-fest dreams.

I don't think the Fest could ever be bad though in all honesty like seriously the first year I went and no one talked to me and I was basically alone at the Fest and it was still awesome, last year I was lucky enough to meet a shit ton of people but seriously man don't worry about it if you're having a bad time find me and we'll make it awesome
