im from chicago and im planning on coming down for the Fest. i went to plan-it-x Fest this year and there really wasn’t a problem with the sleeping arrangements. we slept in the skate park and didn’t get hassled by the police (and actually a girl got dropped off by the police to sleep with us because she was sleeping by herself) and we slept in some parks the other nights. is it going to be the same down there with sleeping in the parks or are we going to have to find some other place to stay? I know people will be having people sleepover in their houses and I don’t mind sleeping in someones backyard. i would appreciate it a lot and if anyone has any idea about where we can sleep safely, without being hassled by the police please tell me. im sure other people will need to know as well.

I'm with this guy here. There's a possibility I won't be able to get a caravan to sleep on this year and me and some friends will possibly need a place to crash randomly. I'd say we'd get a hotel, but fuck that. I'm short on cash as it is trying to buy shit to play music.


Anyway, if anyone has any recommendations or advice, let me know as well!

I'm actually moving to gainesville next week with my band...I haven't even been to our place yet but it's 2 miles to the shamrock that's all i know (i mapquested that shit) but we might have some floorspace....as of right now we are barely going to have beds but it is a nice place i know that....should have soft carpet haha. I don't know I'll update next week. It'd be preferable for you to be able to hold your beer down too...if you can't, make it outside, we do. heh.

Yeah, definitely. Just make sure it's one of those "decoy" cars that they just park in random places, like scarecrows.

And I wouldn't recommend trying it with the police horses.

I'll be in gainesville on sunday...and have a place to stay (through couchsurfing.com...look it up folx) for a few days. and if you see me spangeing (spare change?)...please don't kick me or call the cops. i'm trying to be reasonable and not steal and fuck things up for the Fest.
