So I had been a frequent fester with four under my belt, but for the last 18 months I have been working in antartica, and have been pretty much oblivious to what has been going lately in the punk scene. I've stumbled across a couple awesome new bands since I've been back these last few weeks (Witches With Dicks, Friends Of Friends, Japanther, LaGrecia, + that new weatherthans record is fucking great!+) but I am worried I have missed out on a whole lot of great bands. I'll be back in the country for the Fest this year and I think I need to catch up! Any help would be great!
Matt "So Glad To Be Back" Ramsey

thanks!

Wow, what was your job in Antartica?

Check out the thread called 'Too early to suggest bands?' for a ridiculously wide range of stuff people want, or the confirmed thread for stuff you'll definitely be able to see.

Did you get involved in a protracted game of cat and mouse with an intergalactic shape-shifting alien in an intense climate of paranoia that turned you and your fellow researchers against each-other?

Why haven't we installed a bocce court in by backyard yet?

I totally second The Gaslight Anthem - best album of 2007 in my opinion. Also I agree about Worn in Red and Landmines, check 'em out.
