Howdy folks,
I don't know if we will really have time to pull this off, but...
I have been kicking around making a special pressing of a No Idea record for the Fest 5. Not sure what. Possibly a special screen-printed cover and a different colored vinyl for an existing No Idea record. Probably not an all-new record, just because of time constraints... but you never know.

So... WHAT'S YOUR VOTE? What record would you like to see, if we can find the time to get it together?

Maybe something that is OOP on vinyl, like the Panthro UK "Sound of A Gun' lp, or a special pressing of Radon "28" lp since they're playing. It would be neat to see a repress of the Bread is the Edible Napkin or Baggy Pants Waste Precious Fabric comps.....It would be even cool if there was an audio accompaniment to the Fest 3 DVD. Like a special box set vinyl thing.

YES! A Fest 3 VINYL EP!
MAKE IT OF THE BANDS RETURNING FOR Fest V...well, let's see...actually that excludes Against Me, HWM and a few others who either broke up or can't make it back...
but at least it would be very FESTish
you've got the audio for that stuff, you can pull it off.

I'd buy one for sure if it was from a band I liked! And if it wasn't, I'd feel more comfortable if it was a 7" versus a full priced LP.

Radon's a good choice, me thinks

Cheers

I think a special press of 28 would be awesome.

man if you repressed 28 especially for the Fest, fucking kids would get trampled...unless you press exactly the same number of records as the number of Fest passes you sell

I think you should be able to preorder a special Fest record at the Fest or when buying your pass and then get it after as a souviner. That way the vinyl and cover doesnt get all beer and whiskey soaked. Or more likely in my case get fat man sweat all over it.

Or better yet, do a special press of the new Radon record!

to avoid sparks-stained record covers and oops-where-did-I leave-that-thing-itis what about redeeming wristbands via mail, post-fest, for the special record? I guess the postage might kill you but it buys you some time to get shit pressed and all that goodness.

Hmmm, BREAD on vinyl is still available I think... we might have one or two laying around at least. We sold them for $2 for like 4 years... if you missed it, you missed it. We pressed 3,300 on 2xLP and about 6,000 on CD. The metal parts for the 2xLP are long gone, so it will NEVER be repressed on vinyl. Likely never on CD either...
