I simply don't have the attention span to check out every band playing prior to The Fest, but a few do catch my attention, particularly if their members post here.
so far I am hearing and liking-
The Cost Of Living
Benard
Mose Giganticus
there may have been others, but those are the only three I could remember when I decided to make this thread, and is in fact why I made this thread, so I can start to keep track of the others.

Flamingo 50 was a pleasant surprise. Don't know if they'll play, but if they do I'll be there. With a name like that I'm pretty sure they're obligated.

yeah, I checked them out too, and like them. I hope they get to play.
hell, I think any band from overseas that applies and is willing to fly themselves over should automatically get a slot.

I didn't really like F50 too much when I had a listen, but shitty myspace compression is never really a fair way to judge a band. I'm enjoying Benard at the moment, though, and Landmines too. Got a big list of bands I've never heard of to work through already!

Ha...nice idea but if that was the case you'd get all the shit bands from the UK getting funded by their parents....believe me there's plenty of them too!
Having said that, all the UK bands that I know for sure have applied deserve to play as they're all pretty good!

For the record, TCOL are finishing record a new demo tomorrow, so as soon as that's done, I'll be sending off a real-mail application. We'll all be there hangin' out, so the best we can hope for is a first-on slot somewhere. Doesn't even really matter, just wish it was October already!

you gotta see flamingo 50 live. i don't go on and on about bands unless i really like 'em but in this case i think they fully warrant it!
playing Fest would be great but like dan said, we'll all be there anyway so whatever happens let the good times roll!

Worn In Red ( www.myspace.com/worninred) only has one recent song posted, but I think most of you will dig it (it's the first one that comes up). It's actually from our split with Benard, which most of you seem to like so far...and with good reason since they rule faces.
[Shameless self-promotion finished.]
