It's to my understanding that the draft broke up.

Blacktop Cadence please.

I would rather see Blacktop Cadence than The Draft any day.

or Chris Wollard solo, that rock song on the split with Mike Hale is AWESOME.

I'm not 100%. Like I said, that just the way I understood what was told to me. I threw it out there to see if anyone could confirm or dispel it.

i don't think they broke up, its more of one of those hiatus things due to location of members

Chuck can'y likely do a solo show at the Fest if he's on this Revival Tour at the same time.

The Draft is one of the bands that has big tour all the time. The guys were away from Gville a lot. They haven't broken up. Only differene is that Jason moved to Atlanta.

I'd love to see Blacktop too but I imagine that's pretty unlikely w/members in CA and GA and not practicing in a LONG time.

I interviewed Lucero a couple of weeks ago with 'Greg Graffin's Sex face' for his zine and they were pretty adamant they weren't playing the Fest.
They've just signed to Universal too.

i knew it wouldn't be long until a major label picked them up
I don't know a single person I've played Lucero for that doesn't like them, my dad even stole my copy of Dreaming in America

I know these probably aren't, but if they turn out to be the only dates I'll be furious. But it's early yet.

Not to worry. There is absolutely NO WAY these are the only dates. They are probably still getting the tour together.

The press release said it wouldn't begin until september but looks like it has been bumped up a bit. Which only means more time for more shows! :D

I also looked up those datses the other day. They'll probably be playing a lot of venues that don't do ticketmaster, but I was hoping to get a rough outline of their path.

I hope my mom enjoys seeing Chuck tomorrow.

Lucero not playing Fest means that there is a slightly improved chance I will not drink myself to death this year. Phew.

I know you haven't played them to me and you don't know me but I don't much like them. I've tried as very good friends of mine who know me well have tried to get me into them but it's not worked. I got offered free tickets to see them recently but stayed at home. Am I really missing something?

I do like Red Forty though and as I understand it they're something to do with Lucero right?

It honestly took me a bit longer to get into Lucero. I LOVE Red Forty. I just find Ben's vocals work better for me with them. Not so much with the alt-country thing. But that's just my preference. If I were to pick a band in that realm that I'd prefer it would be Drag the River, anyday. I saw Drag play with Lucero and I got bored with Lucero and went outside.
