I had the worst Lone Star experience at SXSW in 07. I almost died a puking death.
Can't touch that stuff.
However I'm still bff with tequila, tex mex and Austin.

hell yes, and i'm so very serious. i play in a band called landmines that may or may not be on the schedule for the Fest, but i'll be down there anyway, when the time gets closer we'll have to arrange a meet up

Old Style thirty-packs are becoming scarce on the South Side of Chicago . . . they're shipping them in twenty four-packs and twelve-packs now, instead of the thirties and fifteens. I don't like where it's headed. Plus it's like two bucks more than it used to be when you actually do find a thirty.
But I'll still bring some down to Fest, or at least, some to wet my whistle on the drive down.

Richmond really sucks for the 30 pack as well, you can't find them anywhere. I remember a tour a long time ago that took me through PA where i found the ever elusive 50 pack, aka The CUBE. now that's a helluva box of beer.

A 30 pack! A 50 pack! What good ideas. I've noticed quite a lot of mainstream beers here seem to be shifting from 24 to 20. Poor form.

To the road trippers in this thread: Mind if I join the caravan? I can add to the regional beer Fest with our own fine Abita Brewery products.
I'll be jumping on I-10 either near Lake Charles or Baton Rouge...
EDIT: forgot to mention I'm not looking for a ride--just someone to share road shenanigans with.
