any chance of getting Mikey Erg, Dan Yemin, Paddy...and sheesh i feel like there needs to be a Florida connection here too...together in a room and crank out a couple songs only for Fest? it's not like they're not in enough bands as it is...

How about have them all do covers in a big all-star free for all.
You know, songs you can play drunk...I'd love to record it.

if someone started some huge voting thing to pick out the setlist I'd be down for seeing a good cover band
if they played really late at night when everyone is already having a good time and beyond drunk then it could turn out to be a lot of fun

last year I saw some band driving around town, playing cover songs from the back of a flat bed trailer.

That was some cool shit - they pulled up outside of Common Grounds and played, then drove off with someone dancing on the roof of the truck.

I thought that was brilliant! Hell, if you can't get on the Fest, play anyway.

Yeah, we met a couple of those dudes when we were out in Lansing, MI. Funny bunch of guys, they actually own that flatbed and generator. apparently they do that all over the place, for Lion's games and Warped tour, etc...
