Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville airports are all well placed for Gainesville. Then it's an easy Greyhound bus or there are companies that do pretty cheap shuttles straight to G'ville. Hotel-wise there's obviously the Holiday Inn option, or if you want to actually get some sleep there's a bunch on SW 13th Street but they're a little bit of a walk. There's a few threads kicking about where people have mentioned other places, have a hunt and you should find some ideas.

If you wanna go somewhere else first the internal flights straight into Gainesville airport are pretty cheap, at least by UK standards that is. We flew into NYC last year and got a return from there to Gainesville for just over US$200.
Where in Aus are you from?

Yeah, we're heading straight to NYC pre-Fest and then DC post-Fest, snf then NYC again. The £'s gone down against the US$ a little bit recently, which sucks, but it's still nearly 2 to 1.
TJ, I looked at your site, I've got your first release!

I'm sorry, Neck's from the UK. I was thinking of that Pirate folk punk band from Australia who's name escapes me.

haha yes we have to organise stuff miss.
i got an interview today for a killa job so i will have lots of cash to play with!
once i know about this job we can book, i really need it!. i am going to give rach a call this or next weekend to get an idea of what to do. but i think you and i should just book what we need to and meet up with her along the way. cos flight prices and times and such are much more flexible for her! and holiday time is much for flexible for us!
i am temping at a deaf centre right now. you would love it! it is kind of fun i get paid to do arts and crafts...yay.

We will also be coming from Oz. We are in Sydney though. We are going to NYC first & then down to the Fest. Probably back to NYC after because we have some family there at the moment.

Frenzal Rhomb do still exist (if only in their own minds!!!), no just kidding they are still going. They don't tour as much these days. At the moment Jay (singer) & his wife are off traveling & have indefinite travel plans, so I'm sorry to say that it is highly unlikely that they would be able to make it. There is always next year!
