We werent too excited about where we stayed last year. Where did you stay? Did you like it? Would you stay there again?

We stayed at the Comfort Inn. It was perfectly nice, but the walk was maybe a little far, especially if it's really warm. I'd stay there again if we can't find anything nearer though, no probs.

Fest V I stayed my own place. And Fest 6 I stayed at Dirty Money's house, which is where I will be again this year. It's good to have friends in G'ville.

Colin and I will have a small house downtown this year...only 2 bdrms and not nearly as big of a living room unfortunately, so as far as people staying there it's going to be limited, BUT we will have a yard that people would be welcome to camp on, and a porch.

Hopefully we are going to figure out a way to do a show somewhere or in our yard that won't get broken up by the 5-0. Still got time though.

last year I got lucky and a friend of mine in Gville was going out of town, so I stayed at her place and babysat her dog.

Now she moved in with her boyfriend, but I can still probably sleep on her couch, and her new place is closer to downtown! I do have several back up plans though.

I stayed at the ABC last year and despite the horrible reviews we read online, it was decent, we got lucky and didn't have a roach problem although it did look like someone was murdered in the bath tub.

The walk was a bitch though and since i'm a heavy guy, I think were gonna find a motel on main st(if we can't find a house to stay at) and rent bikes.

Last year 3 friends and I shared a room at the howard johnson. the hotel was awesome but it was aways from all the action. After a full day of festing a 2 mile walk or at least what felt like 2 mile walk wasnt very fun. We ended up hitch hiking or taking the bus to the university and hoofing it the rest of the way. if you have access to a car or you dont mind walking i would recommend this place. the room had a mini fridge big enough for booze and some food. also one of my friends knocked a hole in the drywall skateboarding on the bed. the guy in the office was just thankful we were honest about it and let us slide with a 50$ charge for the damage. he easily could have been a dick and charged my friends credit card 300$. i wont be staying there this year. im thinking the holiday inn might be the ticket. assuming that they dont pull some bullshit wristband/security shit.

yeah, we stayed there one year... the rooms were nice, and we ate the shit out of the shitty free bagels at the morning buffffeet.

Last year we said fuck that walk and stayed at the holiday inn.

Mostly on couches at friends' houses for a couple Fests.

One year I stayed at Holiday Inn, NEVER AGAIN.

Last year I stayed at a MUCH cheaper and nicer/more spacious hotel than Holiday Inn. It was over by the mall behind the Red Lobster (sorry I can't remember the name). But you have to drive from there so it isn't for most visiting Festers.

I'm not big on getting the Fest Flu and usually manage to avoid it. And I'm on the Fest Photo Crew so I HAVE to sleep to make my "check-in and download" time. Plus I need internet access and a work area for my laptop and camera gear.

friends place again. much more fun that being in a hotel room i think. not only because its free, but because he has all these other people round and you make friends with random people from all over the place before you even leave the house.

Last year i stayed at the Motel 6. Way too far away. The only bonus was a grocery store across the street, and i'm a man who likes his snacks after a day of festing. But this year i wanna stay closer to the action because the walk was long, and the cab rides expensive.
Any thoughts about Rush Lake Motel? I know some people stayed there last year.
