That would be funny...especially if none of us can bowl although I seem to remember someone telling me the other day that at least one of TCOL is quite handy at it. We shall see at the pre Blotto/Dauntless Elite show game in Kingston assuming you're up for it? That was Carpet. He left, breaking my heart and dashing our dreams of bowling glory. I am seperntly up for pre Blotto bowling. I am a bad bowler, and that is bad is in bad.
Well we bowled with Deny Everything at the weekend with full intention of 'stuffing the Germans' and I was so bad I actually lost my temper which is quite rare for me so I wouldn't worry...you'll fit in just fine!

We actually put together a real team for the punkrock bowling tournament in Vegas last January. Tony and I were both on the team. Richard from Horsebites, who does the Fest art designed our bowling jerseys. Pics can be seen at the no idea myspace, view more pics.

I was in Gainesville the weekend you lot were bowling. I remember eating a falafel at Gyros and Bryan KOD casually mentioning it and thinking to myself 'why the fuck aren't I there instead?' Didn't Youth Brigade play?

there are some places on the UF campus where you can, I got some friends who play a good amount but this time of year due to the heat it's a lot of indoor matches
for those watching Euro 2008, Portugal is going to dominate

I found out about this because Ryan Murphy's dad was my video professor last semester and he said you guys were out in Vegas. Fucking awesome!

Awesome, I might enquire after this a bit more nearer the time!
Disagree on Portugal though, they lack a striker. Lovely midfield, but no finisher. That said, I'm not sure who will win. I wouldn't be surprised if Italy did their usual and somehow managed to grind their way to victory, though.

I should warn everyone we're not very good but have become quite addicted to the idea of a bit of pre gig bowling here in the UK so we thought it could be fun to take on some of you Americans when we're there so you can show us how it's done!
I'd be down for that, gonna be in Gainesville for a week either side of the actual Fest.. lets do it!

You Brits never cease to amaze me. We Americans want nothing to do after a night of hard drinking than to lay about in our own sick until it's time to go out and start drinking again, and you lot are up at the crack of dawn hitting the pitch for soccer! I admire that!

Look you fuckers, there's a reason why we bowl and don't play footy and that's coz you can drink at the same time. Can you take your football chat elsewhere please and leave us alkies to it!
I do like the fact that we could kick some arse on the footy front even on their home turf though but that can be discussed more in the UK footy thread that someone is gonna start!

those guys are absolute demons! they crashed at mine in newcastle, and the next morning went to the go kart tracks next to my house! awesome fellas though!
you can add a couple geordies to the bowling tournament too. limited skills, but fancy shirts and alcoholic tendencies may just sneak the win!
peace = P
