Please say The Venue is out this year.
I'd rather see the headliners actually headline.

And, bring back the Downtown Plaza.

I heard the Venue and Abbey road are up this year and Common Grounds is out. Downtown Plaza belongs to the city. So it's a tough spot.

all i know is that the side bar, a.k.a. the best venue, turned into a fuckin martini bar.

there is no fucking way that Common Grounds will not be part of The Fest.

It's easily my favorite venue, but they definitely need some venue bigger than CG as well.

No Sidebar or Common Grounds? Damn! Those were my 2 favorite spots.

Abbey Road was pretty decent. You could see perfectly from anywhere in the venue, so that was a plus. Drink prices were waaaay too much tho.

I suggest that acoustic acts commandeer the Downtown Plaza.

I'm surprised that No Idea don't own their own venue in town by now.

WTF happened to Common Grounds?

Did you guys tell Cutman they couldn't play or something?

That's really dissappointing about common grounds, that's the first place I think of when someone mentions Fest.

They want too much money. Seems to be a theme this year.

I loved shows at The Venue... FINALLY a venue big enough for what the Fest has become!

The City of Gville has to have something that isn't the Fest on that weekend. So that's what the Downtown Plaza is for. Although the acoustic acts were great there, 2nd Street Bakery seems to have taken over those duties.

You guys might find this hard to believe but not everyone is stoked that Gville is inFESTed for one weekend every year. Some locals still really NEED to have somewhere to hang out on a weekend that isn't Fest associated.

The Venue was nice for the big bands, but when the shows have to be over by midnight. Then everyone files out to the smaller clubs making you wait in line and miss Paint It Black and Municipal Waste.

It sux if there's no Common Grounds this year. I barely left the place for The Fest V.

2nd street was OK, but too far away.

Yeah, I know what you mean but every year I have gone I've missed bands I wanted to see. (And I've been nearly every year.) It is sadly something you have to accept. The bands I want to see most often are playing at the exact same time. I did master RUNNING from one venue the second a show ended to catch another once twice last year though, so I know it can be done.

I'm not even going to talk about CGS, bummer if it is true. But not surprised at all either.

And yeah, 2nd Street is pretty far for those walking. There should be some sort of Fest bus.

Has Common Grounds been sold to someone else recently? If not these rumours are surely bullshit right?
