Kenny my friend, there was talk of a desire for a bowling tourney from you UKers in another thread, and I suggested a pre-Fest show//bowling event at New Jersey's own Asbury Lanes. It's one of NJ's best venues: a bowling alley, show space (with a stage built over the middle lanes!), and bar! All of NJ's finest play there frequently, and I actually DJ there quite often as well. I'd love to set up a big show there to kick off people's Fest-trips, and if you guys across the pond want to make it your first destination, that would be great!

A stage over the lanes! That's superb. I'm absolutely hopeless at bowling, but quite good at beer drinking, and our plan at the moment is to fly into NYC and basically stay there before heading down to G'ville in time for Thursday night, so all awesomeness gratefully accepted!

JayInsult wrote: I encourage anybody interested to check out the Right To Assemble, Volume II compilation my buddy Craig just put out. It's got offerings from most of the bands I mentioned, plus exclusive tracks from the Ergs, the Measure, and more. It's a great snapshot of what's going on in the New Brunswick//NJ scene right now. You can order it here: http://www.myspace.com/xsoulrebelrecordsx
still waiting for my copy in the mail.....

Chewy, did you order from Craig or from a distro? If it's the former I'll call him right now and tell him to get the lead out, haha.

Pssssh, so I guess the crowds last year for the Ergs, the Measure, the Gaslight Anthem, and Static Radio had just wandered aimlessly into the wrong spots, huh?

The Bloodreds, Let Me Run, Broom Vs. The Combine, Full of Fancy, and The New Dress are not included on the comp; the rest are.
Also make sure you visit the download site from the card that came with the comp: it has additional songs from a few other area bands that didn't quite make it in time for inclusion on the comp, plus MP3s of the original Right To Assemble 7"!
