actually i am thinking seriously about buying up 'beardpunk.com' or something like that and setting up a message board on it.

this is really great, i dont know of any other forums out there to discuss this sort of shit.

what do y'all think?

who would be interested in helping moderate discussions and maybe writing record reviews and whatnot? i have plenty of space and bandwidth on a webserver i own for my personal site, wouldnt be too hard for me to set up over the next couple of weeks.

As would I. It would be nice for fans to be able to get together in one place. I used to go on drunken third but that's not around anymore. Myspace doesn't count either. There's a Fest group on there that no one ever posts in. And there's isn't a No Idea group at all I'm pretty sure. I'm all for an official forum on the No Idea site.

i bought up beardpunk.org, i am working on getting it set up.

i hope to have it started tomorrow sometime.

once i get it going, its going to be up to all of you to start coming there and posting comments, and helping to promote it with your friends and whatnot.

creating a website is easy.
creating a community takes a little time and effort.

looks like i am going to create the site in drupal, so there will be a blog-type functionality as well as a forum. i hope to set up a few people with accounts to post news and record reviews and whatnot. going to need some people to help moderate discussions (remove spam, delete seriously stupid comments from trolls, etc)

will need some help with web design as well.

I wonder if there will be many people from Gainesville posting, or FL in general. I'm not a huge messageboard nerd, but I do find them useful when there's one that's actually active enough to be interesting.
