As the title says. I just got home to London and I'm depressed and have festaids so I thought fuck it I'm gonna blow all my cash and fly out to Chicago for Riot Fest.

Don't have any friends coming so if anyone fancys meeting for a drink or six and swap Fest stories then please get in touch.

It's nothing like Fest but there's still good bands playing.

If anyone can muster the trip after last weeks insanity, it's really a great show. Last year was alright, I was a little upset with the venue and the $4 PBR (fuckin ouch) but c'mon whether or not you saw Raygun at Fest its always good to see them again. Not to mention the queers, the methadones, 7 seconds, shot baker. all awesome fucking bands. THEN the next night you get the fucking BAD BRAINS, Sludgeworth (which I had previously given up all hope of ever seeing), Dillinger 4, Youth Brigade, the Bollweevils. It contains half the bands I went to Fest for and then some. I mean, Fest is more of a riot Fest than Riot Fest is; but it's a good time. Come down to chi-town and drink some beer with me.

I don't know if I dreamt this but I think someone I spoke to at Fest said something about using a different supplier for booze this year so it will hopefully be cheaper. I was paying about nine bucks for a vodka last year! That's worse than UK prices!!!

I see a lot of Fest bands on there. Pretty uninspired line up considering. They should call it Left-Over Fest.

7 Seconds, SLF, Bollweevils.... Come on be fair it's a great line up. What's more Raygun will get to play a full set too. Gainesville Fest is the best thing ever in my book but I think the Riot Fest line up is fantastic. You get to see all the bands too rather than running around trying to catch a bit of everything.
