Yeah, that was probably one of the coolest things I've ever done. It definitely was just on instinct. I didn't plan it. I also almost got arrested because my good pal mike was getting put in hand cuffs and I stepped out of the elevator to make sure he was going to be alright and ended up getting busted too. They eventually let us go though with trespassing even though we were staying with some people...it's all good though. The swamp ass on the first picture is due to swimming naked then putting clothes on, i swear i didn't shit my pants. and also for the record...i didn't break that exit sign...i didn't break shit...only my ass doing that flip haha.

The Saturday party was pretty excellent...

I went to my room before the cops showed up, but did get to see what i like to call "The Fest Parade" where people were screaming "Fest, Fest, Fest", high fiving everyone they could see, and finally dancing to Salt-N-Pepa/ EN Vogues's "WHATTA MAN"...

the destruction in the morning was not a surprise, but it will be a surprise if we get to stay at that hotel next year...

I trailed this group up and down the 2nd floor for a few minutes watching them go nuts. They all went into the registration room (which was supposed to be locked, just like the door to the pool -- the hotel fucked up on this one, Tony/Fest got off scott free) and trashed the shit out of it. Tables being flipped over, shit being broken in half, boxes flying... It was absurd.

But yeah, I got a chance to speak with Tony the next day about the whole thing and he pretty much threw it all back in hotel mgmt's faces, since their staff didn't lock rooms up that were supposed to be locked, or distribute wristbands to the hotel guests (so they could identify any interlopers), they have no real proof it was the hotel guests who did the damage. Who knows if we'll be allowed to stay there next year, but I'm just glad Tony's not getting the bill for everything.

Also, the hotel ran out of towels after one day. YOU'RE A HOTEL. WHAT THE HELL. So I say fuck 'em anyway if they can't provide their guests with the most basic of amenities.

I had just fallen asleep 20 minutes before that. Your drunken chanting woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep until 7 in the morning. Consequently, I woke up late and had to miss Off With Their Heads's set.

Yea seriously. Fest is not the weekend to complain about noise, dirt, bad smells, long walks, crowded venues or anything for that matter! It's the f*ing Fest!!!
And trust me, I have been know to complain. But not the weekend of the Fest. If you missed a band, lost your cell phone, ran out of clean clothes---who cares! it's the whole experience of the Fest, punks taking over g-ville, meeting new people, watching madness ensue, etc. that makes it all worthwhile.
