because someone had to say it... if there's a best, there has to be a worst.
Leading up to Argentina and sandwiched between Building the state and Old Growth at the Atlantic on Saturday night was a three piece acoustic called
Verde
they were way too mellow for that time of night. If you were there you know what i'm saying. But i cant blame that all on the slot, if you're engaging and interesting you can turn an audience. these guys were neither.
possibly second (only because i wasn't there)
Scum of the Earth Friday at CGs
riddled with problems ranging from buying a fitted sheet for a projection screen to dropping the projector on the way to the stage, the set (which was a golden opportunity to showcase a lacking gainesville hip hop scene) quickly sank with dropped beats and forgotten lines. As the crowd turned on the (usually quite smooth) duo, the set ended with the destruction of equipment to the uncaring audience.
yours?

I'd have to go with The Falcon and The Lawrence Arms. I know they're the fucking bees knees to a lot of folks, but they sure seem pretty stoked on themselves...
I felt like The Falcon just didn't fit on that otherwise incredible Sunday at Common Grounds. It was a little too...dare I say 'Warped Tour'?
I know that this kinda thing isn't exactly in sync with the spirit of The Fest, so I'll apologize in advance to anyone with ruffled feathers.
Regardless, best weekend of all time.

I was pretty bummed out on Pink Razors set. That may have been due to the sound in the Market St Pub on Saturday though.

The Lawrence Arms? Really? I thought that was a great set and I'm not even a huge fan or anything.
I hate to second it, but Verde. I think I was sitting down the whole set.
