How come Against Me! didn't play the Fest last year and is not playing this year. it seems like they would schedule their other tours around the Fest...

Recording in LA this time last year. On tour in Europe this years. And isn't it silly for a band to book a tour around Fest? Christ almighty.

They're still one of my favorites. I will never be able to put the Acoustic EP down, it's in my top three favorite albums of all time.

But they've grown in a different direction from their original fanbase (people like the ones on this board). Good for them, if this is what they really want; which according to their Razorcake interview, it is. But it's like I was reading on Jawbreaker, as they're growing a lot of their fans feel betrayed.

So let's pour one on the ground for a great band lost and move on to the greatest party we've ever been to.

PS, to the person that mentioned something about Jawbreaker...when does a band get to start doing things for themselves without being looked down upon from their fans? Sometimes you've got to put things aside (yes, even fans) and push foreword to do what's best for you. If anything is apparent with those guys is that they've always made music because they love it, not because someone loves it. As long as I've known those guys they've been involved with (in some shape or form) playing music. People just need to get over the fact that they've changed. People's musical interests change (shit, look at the evolution of American Steel). That doesn't make it good or bad. But it's theirs and they own it. Fart.
