hey guys, i just heard wayward was robbed last night. the asshole stole $1,000, and most of it was Fest ticket money that they had to pay back this weekend, they were gonna use some of it to pay off debts, but now they are even more in debt.
this really sucks.
wayward is a not-for profit record store. all collective ran. etc. it's a awesome community space and DIY punk resource. all the past Fest registrations have been there, it's not this year, but still dontate what you can.
anyway, if you can donate anything to them this weekend it would be awesome. thanks.

wow of all the fucking places to rob what jackass decides the not for profit store is the best place. I wish bad things upon whoever did this. I'll definitely donate what I can at the 11:59pm show Friday night

I gave them 5 Dirty Money cds last week that I said just sell for $5 and keep the money...so we donated $25 technically already...so people should buy it! I'll probably always just give them cds cause I know they need the money and thats about all we can do as far as donating money..

That's fucked. Wayward was the first place i ever saw punk bands in the US (warped tour don't count). I'm guessing there'll be a donations jar at thursday night's show?

we did that too, gave them a bunch of our grease last year...but G'villians don't buy it much
bands should donate stuff to Wayward for them to sell...what a fucking shame

This is a total bummer. I fucking hate people that do this shit. Fast Crowd will be donating records and money to Wayward to try and help them get out of the whole they are in.

thats totally whack! i will be sure to stop by wayward and donate what i can. record stores dont make money like they used to, its a struggling industry as it is with huge corporations like best buy and target selling cds for dirt cheap prices. Its awesome that they are non profit, i'm sure i will buy a ton of stuff too. i already got my dirty money cd tho!

i felt like i should bump this thread.
more people should know about this and do something to help. even small things add up. fucking shame that it happened, i hate seeing diy venues taking hits like this. happens way too often at too cool of places.

I do want to drop off some cash, that's why I asked. I'm sure if we all just dropped a few bucks for them over the weekend we can get quite a little fund going....bump
