the quote towards jana's age has to include two HA's as in: HAHA, you're old!
i think if any kids just getting into underground music ever tells me that when i get let's say 30 years old I'm going to reply "haha I got to see all your favorite bands before they broke up!"

no but seriously thank you Phillip that was pretty cool to see, i always thought heard tampa punk was non-existant in the 80's because of how influential some of the pioneering death metal acts were around town at the time.

Yup exactly, every time someone attempts to give me shit about my age it is usually because they are under 25 and I saw all kinds of bands they'll never see. My reply "Haha, you're young!"
Mind you, the people in these videos are ever older than me. I WISH I had seen the shows THEY did, like my older brother!!
But yeah I've seen at least one of these videos before. I'm thinking it should be referred to as "Tampa punk/goth documentary" since Skinny Puppy is in it. Or considering it is "1987 punk/new wave documentary"...haha
Sadly, if I ever met anyone in these videos it is likely some of the skinheads. Those guys loved me for some reason. And i wanted nothing to do with them and the violence they surrounded their lives with.
Oh, pretty sure I was at that D.O.A. show though. Slamfest 1987! Yup, that's what it was really called. I started going to show right around that year.

Haha, holy shit... I think Richie from Clairmel/VaginaSore Jr./Watson is in video 3!
And the band at the beginning B.O.S., I used to see all the time. Still have show flyers. Their name stands for Blemish on Society... up the punx!

I was NOT making a dig on Jana's age. I honestly thought she would know someone in the video. Or if not still know them now, knew them way back when. And it looks like I was right!
My friend who showed me the video is apprenticing in a tattoo shop owned by one of the skinheads interviewed. I still haven't found time to watch it yet, but I'm sure he says something stupid in the clip. Because everyone says stupid stuff in old documentaries like this.
I mean, I love "Another State Of Mind" but half the people in it are ridiculous. Any honest documentary shows people at their best, as well as making asses of themselves.
