Great to see you Sawtoof, especially drinkin a tallboy. I'm glad your fancy meathead self that drinks pelligrino at any restaurant where he can get it, doesn't need fancy beer at shows.
haha, when rounds are on me, it's gonna be the cheap stuff. that, and i genuinely enjoy high life. of the 4 people i went with to the show, 2 wound up puking that night. and one wasn't your boi sawtoof.

Two of my favorite bands for sure. I just don't get Gaslight. There's a few bands that you kids dig that I don't get. Andrew W.K. is a great example... i don't get it...or maybe I just can't stand listening long enough to get it. Your old age is just getting to you where you can't party party party with Andrew W.K. but now I expect to see you up here for that show, and The Riot Before/Dirty Money one in october pretty sure I sent this to you but you should watch it again since it has your two favorite things, Andrew W.K. and a Gaslight Anthem clip - http://vimeo.com/1691162Haha, I'm in your video! Unsurprisingly I'm the guy in the white t shirt holding a can of Strongbow in the air at the HWM Common Grounds gig. Sorry if I offended anyone that night...I was very very drunk! Timmy - did I meet you? I was very drunk too. I was hosting this guy Wayne http://www.myspace.com/waynehyde and he had gotten me drunk and also given me his passport to hold. At some point I heard accents like his and asked some dudes if they knew him (whipping out his passport) and they roughly did from a message board. So I brought the guys together. I will admit that I was wasted though. There is a picture of me from that night at a friend's house, passed out in my boyfriend's lap with my fist still in the air...taken around 5 AM. Haha. I'm gonna meet you and not recognise you and feel like a right dick! I do vaguely remember meeting someone that knew someone English over by the merch stand. I'm so sorry if I was being a dick... I was disgustingly drunk!
Its alright, I won't recognize you either and am surprised I can remember this story. The good thing to notice here is I'm trustworthy to hold passports of people I've known less than an hour. Just fyi.

For some reason I'm the "holder of glasses" person during the Fest. We look trustworthy I guess.

I saw this in Chapel Hill. I think it's funny that everyone on this board kind of stepped back for Gaslight. I was more focused on seeing PBC and American Steel (most ESPECIALLY American Steel) and totally just hung out in the back for Gaslight Anthem's set, which I really enjoyed.
Did AS play a bunch of old stuff for you guys? We got a good handful from Rogue's March and they even played "Rotting" from their self-titled album. Fucking amazing night. I wish I could watch American Steel everyday.

I wasn't too crazy about "Destroy Their Future" but I probably just need to give it a closer listen.
"Jagged Thoughts" is amazing though. Somehow I had never listened to American Steel until they were announced on Fest last year, and by time I got to see them I absolutely loved that album.
bummed I missed them last week, but I had to choose between that show and the Revival Tour.

Yes, you do.
That album is a heartbreaker. I don't know why, but it gets me everytime, sans "Mean Streak" of course.
