Anybody know the chances of a band that no one has ever heard of playing Fest? I see there is an application. I want to send stuff in for my band because i think we would fit in so well. I'm gonna send in all the info and shit, i'm just asking if maybe someone on the inside knows anything.

it's worth a shot I applied, even if you don't get selected if you do it online the money goes to charity so why the hell not?

i was planning on doing the snailmail version because im not doing it thru sonicbid. I just wish my band had some new shit recorded, our new stuff is so much better than whats on our ep from like 2 years ago. Maybe we'll do some self demos and send them along too.

i sent in an application for my shitty acoustic stuff.
I dont care if i get accepted or not, its worth a shot.
If i get to play at the Fest, itll be amazing, but if not, im still gonna be there drunk off my ass.
No matter what i win (and get drunk).

You Me and the Atom Bomb played Fest 5 and I'm pretty sure they were unheard of outside of the UK at the time. They went down well and got asked to play Fest 6 and I'm pretty sure they're back again this year too. If your band are good then I don't think it matters if no one knows who you are.

Being "known' doesn't have very much to do with it. If it's good tunes and we can make it happen, you've got a good chance. A lot of the applications depend on what we have space for and where we can work certain bands in to certain shows that will fit with the other bands already on the show. Ya dig?
