there putting together something like what Gainesvillfest was again this year, i think its called sick as fuck Fest or something idk. band lineup didn't seem that interesting

Completely different people than the ones that did the Gaineseville Fest which was all together way before the Fest was even a thought bubble. I was at every one of them and yeah, mostly 90s hardcore bands played because afterall, it was the 90s.

Sick as Fuck Fest is new as of this year. It is only at one venue on one day: August 9th at the Kickstand.

Anyone remember Red Roses For A Blue Lady? 90s Gville hardcore/metal at it's finest!

http://www.myspace.com/redrosesforablueladymusic

They played close to if not all of the Gainesville Fests.

anywho, sadly, jawbreaker. (though i dream the dream anyways)[/quote]

Hey weirder shit has happened. I've been thinking about it, and although a Jawbreaker reunion is highly unlikely - if it were to happen, Fest would be one of the places they would consider doing it. Obviously not going to happen for Fest 7, but maybe Fest 10!

Red Roses For A Blue Lady used to play Ocala pretty often, and I thought they were terrible, but appeerently they've got some sort of cult following.

Ah well, your talking to deaf ears. I'm one of the cult. Oh and, intro track vocals, that's me and the lead guitarist.

I was at close to all of their FL shows and I don't remember them playing Ocala. Are you sure we are talking about the same band?

it's been years, it is possible I'm thinking of another band, maybe with a similar name? I'm pretty sure Red Roses did play Ocala at least a couple of times.

A close friend of mine was in a band with the singer of Red Roses though, before Red Roses started. I'll ask him about it this weekend.

I don't think Kyle was in another band before Red Roses. Who is your friend?

Man Josh, I see a ton of posts from you that just say how much you dislike the band someone else brought up. What's the point of being so negative? I'm thankful we all have different tastes in music. Otherwise the world would be a boring place.

Haha, you are a pain in my ass mister. You just like to test me now and then huh? Some things just don't translate well on the interwebs. Go listen to them at the link in my previous post. You may actually hate them.

I wanna talk to him and get my stories straight before word goes around that "so-and-so claims he was in this band or that." I think it was some sort of straight edge metallic hardcore band, that never did anything. One of those bands that might as well have not existed, because half the members don't even remember the band.
