Great stuff, playing 1982 on Friday night at like 11:30 or something.
Fast, heavy punk hardcore grind whatever you want to call it.
I can't wait to see these guys, I guess they played last year, I missed them then...Saw them since, and again at the AFR reunion show. Kind of an odd band for that show, but they were great.

Hell's yeah, I am super stoked to see them. Actually, I'm pretty much just gonna post up at 1982 from 7:00 till close, with just one brief exception. The synergistic effect of all that thrash both frightens and excites me.

i'm probably going to be missing them for their actual fest-set, sorry i love less than jake... if you're not a big LTJ fan, i recommend checking them out because their sets are always insane.
but i know they'll probably be playing a house show on friday or saturday night.

yeah they are really fun llive... I remember the days we played "street skater" on PSOne 10 years ago and it had "All my friends are metalheads" in the soundtrack, but it took us a whole while to find out who they are, they didn't had a release over here yet... we went to the videostore, wrote down all bandnames, could eliminate the half right away and went to the best punkrock recordstore in town and listened to all the other bands on the list till we had them and bought the imported record for probably 22$
do kids with all that myspace, internet whatever stll have experiences like that? yeah the god old days, looking into thanklists in booklet to find out abut new bands, trading mixtapes..

Awesome about the house show, I'll try to catch that then at least! I've got some ideas where it might be too.
Oh and pretty sure that Jonathan Nuñez, of Torche, did all the recording for Mehkago N.T. at his place: Southern Noise Studio. Mehkago N.T. shares a member of Shitstorm a well.

Ok, music nerd signing out.

yea Jonathan Nuñez was the one who recorded Mehkago NT.
"In Return" was recorded there and well that is one of the best sounding records i've heard.
Ricky won't be drumming for Mehkago NT for the Fest, but Chris from Merkit will be and he's a good drummer... what friends in Miami have told that Mehkago's playing with 3 guitar players (not sure if they'll do so for the Fest)

Yeah, how AMAZING is In Return right!?
Ricky as in Rick from Torche? If so, he didn't play last year either. He hasn't played with them for a while now. I've seen them with like 3 drummers now.

Yeah, Torche tours a lot huh? Speaking of:
Nov 24 2008
Torche, Black Cobra, Clouds
@ Atlantic
Can't wait, I'm having withdrawals. They canceled their last FL show. If I don't see them once more before 2009 I may implode. Been far longer since I've seen Baroness though, arrgh.

Baroness is/was just touring Florida now with Opeth (and High On Fire). i've been wondering how High on Fire is taking a day off that tour and playing common grounds tomorrow... and wishing they had convinced Baroness to do the same.
but yea, i havent seen Baroness since the Fest or the Baroness/Torche European Tour kick off in miami; can't recall what happened first...
