This is for all the UK lot but if anyone from overseas has too much time and money on their hands then feel free to come too!

We've organised a gig on Saturday September 27th at the Fighting Cocks in Kingston. As we don't know the Fest line up and there was already a gig planned for that night we couldn't make it all Fest bands but we do have You me and the Atom Bomb headlining who as I'm sure you all know are now Fest regulars.

The idea behind the gig is UK Fest goers can all meet up, make new friends, plan their trip, find travelling buddies/lifts/hotel spaces, share Fest stories and secrets, cry over the fact that their two favourite bands are clashing and most importantly get very drunk and have fun!

I think we'll organise a bowling event in the afternoon too. If anyone wants to come and needs a place to stay we'll try and organise floor space for you too. Message me and I'll see what I can do.

I'm sorry to those of you that already contacted me asking to play. The venue has a strict policy of only 4 bands a night and although we pushed them to five we can't get past that.

Full line up is:

You Me and the Atom Bomb
Cold Ones
Cop Out
Offshore Radio
Serf Combat

I hope at least some of you will come and join the fun!

Man, I sure like that term "piss up". Wish I was English so I could incorporate it into my everyday vernacular.

I'd like to come down to this but realistically it's probably not financially viable, alas.

Alternatively, a bit more Northern and still with Fest ties...

A girl at my work told me her brother was in the Down and Outs the other day. Different one again, obviously. Popular name!

Are any of them as good as the North West D&O's?

Ruth has a great work mate's friends in bands story. I'll let her tell it another time.

I'm trying to decide if this show is a good idea or not. I take off from Heathrow at 8.45am the next day *but* Kingston is a lot closer to Heathrow than Cambridge... I think... or is it?!

This show is in September. Unless you're heading out a month early you shouldn't worry! There's somewhere for you to stay anyway.

They played Fest 4 right? This Cold Ones is a very different band. Fast, old school hardcore punk from Liverpool. I saw them a couple of months back and was blown away. We had to book them after that show!
