i'm going to Fest this year, it'll be my first year. however i'm not 18.

i heard you can get in if you're with someone over 21?

or will i just have to get a fake id?

I suggest a fake ID.

Or you can just spend the whole weekend at the couple of all ages venues.

just go with someone who is at least 18, and pretend theyre your big brother/sister. ive been bringing a friend of mine the last 3 fests thats underage and weve never had a prob at any of the venues.

any and all underage chicks are to report immediately upon arrival to the delta theta crappa frat house for natty light and roofies.

Or find a bum, buy him a Fest pass, tell everyone he's your dad, and promise to keep him in PBR if he goes to all the venues with you.

I had this same problem the first year that I wanted to go (Fest 5). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a fake or convince anyone to go, or even have a place to stay, so I had to forgo it. What sucks is that I won't turn 21 until after the Fest 8, so I have to wait another 10 months before I can drink legally at the Fest.

But I'm thinking that I might have to otherwise rectify this. Does anyone know how stringent the bars/venues are about checking IDs?

If you want to go to the shows i'm going too (we can make some comprimises, deal with me being ridiculous drunk (first 21 Fest), and I'll be your Fest father.

every bar checks ID's. however, i used a fake ID at everysingle one and no one second guessed me. that is except at common grounds, where they took it from me. i was stupid, because i knew that they were really strict about fake IDs there. oh well. still had a blast.

Yeah they've got a wall of fake IDs that I laugh at there!

for those that haven't seen the wall yet it's worth checking out, there are some that are really bad its amazing someone actually tried to use it.

Also, I know of people caught sharing drinks with underagers. The venues at the Fest are strict about this. They were BOTH kicked out AND their Fest wristbands were taken. That means they weren't just kicked out of that show/venue but the WHOLE Fest WEEKEND. Same goes with people caught doing drugs. So yeah, be smart people.
