Sidebar was bought by their next door neighbor - Speakeasy.

Stage is gone. It hadn't reopened yet the last time I'd walked by there, but I don't think they have any plans to make it a live music venue.

I try my hardest NOT to look towards the guy's restroom when I leave the ladies at CGs. More than once I've seen something I just don't want to.

I was never real big on the Side Bar for reg Gville shows, but I really liked it for speed/grind/thrash/metal Fest shows. Great pit area action and general chaos squeezed into a tiny venue!

Our guitar player during Planes' set at CGs last year was pretty fucking hilarious. The boy loves Planes and he was drunk enough to show it without any sort of self-censorship. I think Gared was sort of amused/creeped-out by how wastedly stoked Joe was, and if you can creep out Gared, then kudos to you. Ha.

But seriously, Gared was so insanely fucked up at that show. I'm betting he didn't even notice how wasted anyone else was.

I was so close to him while shooting that he nearly hit me with his guitar a couple time and I seriously don't think he knew I was there.

I was in complete awe of him and kinda even creeped out. And that's REALLY hard to do to me!

i remember the venues guys bathroom! my god that place was mayhem. im surprised nobody tried to shit in the sink, seriously.

friday night of Fest 6 we'd got slammed on free pbrs at 1982, walked out into the street and ran across some homeless guys giving away krispy kreme. me and my friend tom took a cup of donut holes each and for some reason he just stood at the edge of the road near the sidewalk. some mustang comes squealing around the corner and about hits him, so i do what any good friend would do and chuck the cup of donut holes at the car.

forgetting for some reason that my aim is pretty damn near impeccable when im lit, the donuts went in the car window and busted the driver in the head. he stopped, got out of his car leaving it parked in the street. he came running at me, i quickly realized the size difference and took off running. he punched me in the back of the head as i crossed the street. he went back to his car and drove like 5 feet before a cop pulled him over. i wish i could find that police report!

I saw a guy bail pretty bad on his bike on the Sunday night. He hit the curb and slid on the floor for about 5 metres on his face. It wasn't that hilarious now I come to think about it.

I remember everyone else thought this was hilarious... all the drinking caught up to me and I got the shits so I took anti-diarrheal pills that morning, fucking bing is always handing out free sailor jerry's so I have a little and then decide to eat bacon pizza, so at the end of the night I get really fucking dizzy and start to freak out, gee I wonder why needless to say I was sick for months but it was hilarious to everyone else in the house it was like I had smoked weed for the first time or something... hmm

Yeah, I know Scary now, awesome guy! I met him online after the Fest because I kept seeing him shooting.

It was your body probably saying it desperately needed to take a shit! I opt for liquid pepto over imodum-ad type pills any day for exactly that reason. Blockage is no good.
