I suppose a lot of us East Coasters will be taking Southbound 95 (I wish Avail was playing again this year) to The Fest. I just came thru GA last night and gas was $2.29 at exit 29 and $2.25 at exit 1. Like 50 cents cheaper than anywhere else around. Maybe this will help some of you save a few bucks. If it does buy me a beer.

Couple weeks ago I was in Tampa for some shows. When I filled up to head home it was $2.18! When I got home gas here was $2.89... but it was still 50 cents cheaper than it was two weeks before. Getting better, I guess.

I love how you Americans think your gas is expensive, so cute.
Cost me $27 to fill up from empty (and got 320 miles to that tank) on the way back to NJ after Fest.
Average price in the UK is at least $65 for that, currently.
More reasons to sort out my shit and move...
Cheap beer, gas and records. Your country sure as hell knows how to prioritise.

$1.699 a gallon in Ocala on Monday.
part of me hates it, because it just means no one cares about saving gas anymore. And i dread a price jump.

oh my god, with the current exchange rate that is only some cents more for the the prize for a liter in germany (1,15 € = $1,47) and a gallon is about 3,7 liter ...
but that what I noticed on my trip over all, we are definitly far far ahead when it comes down to recycling, avoiding trash and so on...

yeah, the recycling situation in Jacksonville pissed me off. They had curbside pick up for limited recycling, but ONLY in the really nice neighborhoods, not at all in any apartment complexes, and there were very few recycling bins in any public shopping areas.
Ocala is slightly better. In jacksonville I had to look up a business that would take cans and glass bottles, out of the way, not in a public area. In Ocala, there are large colorful bins at most parks and many grocery store parking lots, and I save my newspapers, cans, glass and plastic bottles to take every few weeks.
Also pisses me off that a lot of bleeding heart liberals don't recycle.

In Tucson we have two landfills and no plans to build a facility to convert the recyclable goods. So awesome.

In Ocala, on garbage day we have ONE can at the end of the driveway. No separate pick up for recyclables.
in Jacksonville, the nice neighborhoods had the blue boxes for cans and bottles, but that was only maybe a quarter of the city.
